Gathering my tools

   As a newbie to the Craft, or a witchling as others would call me, I am reading and trying to gain all the knowledge I can on the subject. I know that reading only will take me so far, to really be starting my path I need to act, or work, for in doing is Magik. 

That being said, I'm starting to gather and make my magikal tools. The first one I have finished is my Pentacle. Here are some pictures of the creative process.







I made this out of clay, and included the tree as symbolism of  "As above, So below".

For Today

Outside my window... the sun is setting on a beautiful fall day, the moon is rising almost full.

I am thinking.. how excited I am for the Gorrillaz concert Sunday

I am thankful for.. people loving treats

From the learning rooms... Lots of new things about creating a magical household


From the kitchen... Pumpkin bread and Broccoli Cheese Soup

I am wearing.. Long summer flowery dress

I am creating... My first pentacle, made out of clay.


I am going... To hobby lobby to pick up masks for Halloween costumes

I am reading... I got 5 new books today!! Happy Early Birthday to me, I am so excited for each one!

A simple woman's daybook

For Today



Outside my window... Chilly, in the mid 50s, cloudy with drizzling rain


I am thinking... That in 26 hours I will be standing next to the man I love, becoming his wife.


I am thankful for... That the wait for the wedding, all the stress of it all is almost over.


From the learning rooms... Ancient Egypt Culture, Pantheon, and Symbolism


From the kitchen...Special Brownies and Fruity pebble treats

I am wearing..Floor length summer dress


I am creating... Our broom, started it last week, will finish it today!


I am going... to clean the apartment, so it wont be a wreck when we get home from the wedding.


I am reading... over my vows and our circle casting poem.


I am hoping... that the wedding runs smoothly and that no one gets in a fight.


I am hearing...Jubei and Armand wrestling on the floor, and the hum of the refrigerator running.


Around the house... there is energy of excitement for the wedding!


One of my favorite things... my wedding dress! Its so pretty and Princess like. :)


A few plans for the rest of the week...Get married, work, then go on our honeymoon!

Outside my window... A warmer day, still all hazy and smokey from the fires burning in Boulder. 

 
I am thinking... that I wonder if by putting myself first I have created a riff in the family, and I wonder, do I care?


I am thankful for... Good friends who don't give away surprises


From the learning rooms... Magical Alphabets


From the kitchen...  Ice cream cake from Dairy Queen!

 
I am wearing.. Green comfy exercise pants, and little boys white undershirt


I am creating... Our broom and handfasting chord. It will be done today, pictures to come!

I am going... to finish my projects for the wedding, and then to work

I am hoping... That the fire doesn't harm Chataqua park, I really want to get married there

I am thankful for... my wonderful fiancee, who did the laundry while I was working :)


From the kitchen... its fussing at me to quit messing around online and clean it.
