A Simple woman's daybook

For Today



Outside my window...  The sky is dark, the moon is full and rising high. Light cloud coverage, hopefully stays that way with the lunar eclipse tonight
I am thinking... What an amazing opportunity tonight will be.


I am thankful for... My husbands acceptance and support of my craft


From the learning rooms... Today I made incense for the first time!! It was a yule incense, made of Frankincense, cedar, juniper berries and needles, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and orange peel.

From the kitchen... I've been a busy little beaver, Beef Stew and Biscuits, and Pumpkin Cranberry bread!


I am wearing.. Silver leggings and a Deep blue long sweater

I am creating... my alter for Yule


I am going...To watch the Lunar Eclipse tonight


I am hoping... To see my best girl friend on Wednesday


I am hearing...Rehab by Amy Winehouse

Around the house... The Boys are animating, and I'm preparing everything for Yule.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Going to Trans-Siberian Orchestra with my little brother, work, and Christmas with the in-laws

Outside my window... Chilly with a light fall breeze, the sky is blue but cold.


I am thinking... about going to college, really giving it a proper go this time.


I am thankful for... the accident business being over!! Waiting on the settlement check and then I get to pay all overhanging medical bills. Plus a little extra in there for us :)


From the learning rooms...  working on feeling, learning, with the elements and their energies


From the kitchen... Spent the morning baking, Banana and Pumpkin bread from Scratch! The apartment smells yummy :)


I am wearing... Cute sailor cut jeans, red with white spotted 1940's Esq top


I am creating... Preparing for creating soaps and candles shortly


I am going... to pick my husband up from work, run some errands and then go to work.


I am reading...


I am hoping... That this great new year keeps going and is the new leaf in a page of my life with my wonderful husband.

Outside my window... Chilly, in the mid 50s, cloudy with drizzling rain


I am thinking... That in 26 hours I will be standing next to the man I love, becoming his wife.


I am thankful for... That the wait for the wedding, all the stress of it all is almost over.


From the learning rooms... Ancient Egypt Culture, Pantheon, and Symbolism


From the kitchen...Special Brownies and Fruity pebble treats

I am wearing..Floor length summer dress


I am creating... Our broom, started it last week, will finish it today!


I am going... to clean the apartment, so it wont be a wreck when we get home from the wedding.


I am reading... over my vows and our circle casting poem.


I am hoping... that the wedding runs smoothly and that no one gets in a fight.


I am hearing...Jubei and Armand wrestling on the floor, and the hum of the refrigerator running.


Around the house... there is energy of excitement for the wedding!

Outside my window... A warmer day, still all hazy and smokey from the fires burning in Boulder. 

 

I am thinking... that I wonder if by putting myself first I have created a riff in the family, and I wonder, do I care?

From the kitchen...  Ice cream cake from Dairy Queen!

I am going... to finish my projects for the wedding, and then to work

I am hoping... That the fire doesn't harm Chataqua park, I really want to get married there
